A spinning Day of the Dead diorama emerges in my imagination in the midst of a pro-choice rally. I listen to pro-choicers and pro-lifers scream at each other, chant slogans, and try to drown one another out. If I close my eyes, I am at my brother's high school hockey game. My spiritual beliefs transform into kitsch. I experience vertigo.
