To evade his enemies, Doc Brinkley moved just over the border into Mexico, building the world's most powerful radio station and blanketing the U.S. (and 14 other countries!) with a special blend of homespun medical theories, anti-establishment rants, religious pronouncements, hillbilly music, and endless late-night infomercials.
BRINKLEY! is a labor of love that I've been working on since 2008. This little video promo features images and headlines I've dug up in archives, beautiful footage of Brinkley, his family and promotional films, and some samples of his radio talks. It's not a trailer. Stay tuned for a real trailer. I am currently fundraising, editing, writing and concocting my master plan to put together a feature documentary that will knock your socks off.
